Some people are cursed to never change. It’s a curse they place upon themselves. Then there are some people who could change, can change, have had every opportunity to do so, but ultimately love the wrong kind of attention, and go dashing back at the first opportunity.
The Hanged Man represents a person bound to a way of life or a way of thinking that no longer provides growth and change. It says to us that we must alter our perspective, and change how we see ourselves and how we interact with the world around us, or else we are doomed to suffer the rot.
